范文
One of the most unusual meals I’ve ever had is the meal with classmates in university before we graduated. This seems to become the tradition of graduates before they leave the campus they are familiar with, which can be called “farewell party”. Our classmates decided to have this dinner at the night after the graduation ceremony.
I still remember the day our classmates gathering for the last dinner. It was a common summer night in Beijing, nothing special just like any other nights of Beijing. All of my classmates went to a barbecue restaurant for this farewell party. We ordered a bunch of kababs, cheering for the graduation and the four years we spent together. We laughed, cried and drank a lot. The old stories that we experienced together were brought about. The precious days and the unique memory became part of our life.
It is hard to describe the exact feelings at that time. The only thing I am sure about is that the journey on the university was over and everyone began their new life. Gaining, in other words, is a kind of loss. New life means you need to get rid of something you are familiar with in your old life. The process of getting rid of something is not easy. It means that you need to adjust yourself to the new environment without old surrounds, your old friends and your old life routine. The sufferings you are going through needs a long time to get over with.
Everyone in that farewell party knew that some of the classmates might only exist in their memory in their later life. I tried to remember everyone’s face in order not to let them fade away in next decades, so did others. Therefore, I believe it will be one of the most unforgettable dinners for all of people who attended the farewell party.
