There is a park in my hometown which dates back to last century. It also provides the settings for the TV series, “Confucius”, in the early 2000s. I believe all people who have lived in this place for more than 10 years would have special feelings about this park.
However, this park hasn’t been refined or reconditioned for a long time. The sights and artificial scenery gradually decayed, which lets people feel sorry for it. Fortunately, in recent years, the government pays more attention to the infrastructure building and the refinement of this park is put on the schedule. Last year, the refinement of the park officially started. The roads and squares for people exercising has been enlarged and smoothed. The artificial scenery is more delicate, engraved stones scattering all over the park. This construction project is finished in January this year.
After the refinement, the appearance of this park is nothing like the previous. The brand-new park becomes a good place for people to walk, exercise and play, appealing to the nearby residents. Although the temperature in January is low, a lot of people come to the park after their busy daily work. The park becomes one of the most boisterous places in my hometown.
I am glad to see the change of the park. It not only shows the government’s care towards citizens, but also provides a better living environment for people. The economic development is not the only aspect government pays attention to. The benefit that citizens gain from the economic development is becoming more and more important.
