1. What kind of animals do you like?
Well I’d have to say, horses. I've always dreamed of having one horse of my own from the time when I was 8 years old, since I find them to be very strong and elegant animals.
2. Have you ever had a pet before?
Yes, I used to have a cat named Carrot when I was young. Carrot was actually a stray cat when I first met her on a street near my home. I took her home and fed her food. She then became a part of our family and has stayed with us till her last moment.
3. Do you like to see animals in the zoo?
Well, not really. I think zoos are, compared with the animals’ natural habitats in the wild, not that suitable for accommodating such a large number of wild animals. Animals should be set free from their cages, for I think that every living creature on this planet is equal and deserves to be free.
4. What is the most popular animal in your country?
Well, when it comes to China, I think the answer just has to be the giant panda, which has long served as the country’s national symbol. It is a bear native to south central China, easily recognized by the large, distinctive black patches around its eyes, over the ears, and across its round body. I guess it’s just hard not to love this kind of animal given its adorable appearance.
5. Do you think cities are suitable places for keeping pets?
As long as the pets don’t attack people, then yes. Keeping pets at home has nearly become a must for most city people in recent years. There are actually many advantages of keeping pets at home, especially in big cities. For example, pets can make it harder for thieves to break in and steal, which is very helpful since most people are not always at home.
6. What do you think are the benefits of children having pets?
Well, pets can teach children the importance of loyalty, since most pets serve only one master throughout their entire life. Pets can also serve as a wonderful companion to children as they often bring us relaxation, enjoyment and laughter.
7. Should we teach children to protect wild animals?
Of course we should teach children to protect wildlife, for it is essential to take actions to protect wildlife, especially those in extinction. By doing so, we do not only ensure their survival, but also the diversity of the ecosystem. As a result, it will help improve the ecological health of the earth. Thus, children, as our future, should also be taught to know stuff like this even if they are still young.
