Well, I think it is normal to offer help when other people meet difficulties. I have been helped and I also have helped others. From the experience, I could feel that I am warmly treated. However, not every time when we offer help, our sympathy is well received and appreciated. I remember one time that I was ill treated. It happened in a park. When I was walking on the path, a middle-aged man approached me and he looked extremely anxious. He told me that he was about to see his son in the hospital. He just received a call from his son’s teacher and got the news that his son was seriously injured. Thus he needed to get to the hospital as soon as possible. However, his wallet was stolen on the bus, and he asked me to lend him money to take a taxi. At first I was very hesitant and I was worried that he might be a fraud. But then the man offered me his driving license and asked me to keep it as a guarantee than he would definitely pay me back and get back his driving license. So I took his words and lent him 200 yuan.
However, when I tried to contact this man the following day, he didn’t answer the cell phone. After I tried a few more times, he turned off the phone. It was not until then that I noticed that I was duped. I felt very disappointed. I would definitely more watchful next time.
