Well, talking about an interesting public place, the first thing that occurred to my mind is a park called Yanniu Park in my hometown. It is a popular hang-out for local people and it is only within walking distance of my home. It’s actually an interesting combination of a zoo and an amusement park. So as you can imagine, it’s a magnet for citizens.
The zoo is divided into different parts, housing different kinds of animals including lion, elephant, zebra, giraffe, monkey, peacock, to name but a few. Generally monkeys are kids’ favorite. They are lively and always run around chasing one another on the artificial mountain, and sometimes their movements can be hilarious and constantly crack people up. The park is also well-equipped with a variety of entertainment facilities, like roller coaster, Ferris wheel, bumper cars and marry-go-round. Apart from all these facilities, there’s also a snack bar along the road that serves palatable snacks like fries, popcorns, ice creams and things like that. It’s really fun to visit the park. Walking on the path, I feel closer to nature. And it helps to release my pressure, seeing the monkey chasing each other and the giraffe stretching their necks to eat leaves. People I meet there all wear a big smile and enjoy their time with their loved ones.
