Well, I once organized a high school classmate reunion dinner and it ended up pretty awkward. It was in the winter of 2012, just before the Spring Festival. Nearly all my schoolmates came back home for holiday. Since we had not seen each other for about three years, I though a reunion dinner might be a good idea. After all, we spent three years studying in the same classroom and we had great time together. I sent a message in the QQ group and asked them whether they were interested in attending the reunion dinner. Of the 60 classmates, 38 said they would love to come.
The dinner was set in a local restaurant. It was a neat and economical Chinese restaurant. I called the restaurant to make a reservation for four tables in advance. Then I sent everyone the address of the restaurant and the route map to get there. However, on the day we were supposed to have the reunion dinner, it snowed heavily. A lot of buses were cancelled. In the end, only 12 classmates managed to get to the restaurant. I could hardly remember what we ate, because halfway through the meal, the power cut out and we had to leave without finishing the meal. Since there were no buses or taxes on the road, we had to walk home. It was a complete disaster.
