  Part 2&3

1.Describe the novel or story you once read

Actually I have long been fascinated by charms of the French language and my profound interest could be traced back to two years ago. It was in an optional course named Movie Appreciation that I first sensed the fragrance of French language. The film was called Love Me If You Dare, which depicted the love story among two childhood friends. That was the first time for me to watch a French film, which I used to regard as a chick flick, and as it turned out, I was absorbed by not only the exquisite and airy-fairy plots, but also the way protagonists said their lines. With the flow of movie, every word they spoke out became the incantation to drag me into the wonderful world of French language.

Besides, the ending song of this movie, Rose Life, also constitutes another reason for my enthusiasm. I have heard about its English version, piano version and even the saxophone version since this song is really a classical one in the history of music. However, after I heard the original French version, I was deeply impressed by its emotional appeals, which seemed could only be delivered and conveyed through the most romantic language. I am quite good at singing actually, and I do wish to express the most original flavor of this musical masterpiece.

  P3

  2.Describe an interesting animal.

这是一道小概率题目,历年来考过的和animal相关的题目有describe a time you met an interesting animal. Describe a wild animal in your country. Describe a pet you have.

I can still remember the day I found the amazing seal on TV. My grandfather is an enthusiastic audience of a famous Chinese TV program named The World of Animals, which depicted scenes of life about all kinds of mammals and aquatic animals with detailed narrations. Usually I would just go out of the room and play with my dog when my grandfather turned on TV. However, one day when my grandfather watched this program as usual, my dog suddenly barked towards the TV screen and out of subconsciousness I looked up to the screen, too. What pumped into my eyes was a cutie animal that resembled a chubby sticky rice dumpling and at that moment it happened to stare at the camera with its mouth in a smiling curve, which made my heart soften immediately. My grandfather recognized my facial expression and told me that was a baby seal. Since then on, that lovely smile was deeply imprinted in my mind.

Every time I felt depressed or anxious, I would open my computer or take out my cell phone and search for pictures of seal. Its white fur as well as its funny posture when crawling on the ice would turn into a big snowball that can roll my negative feelings away. However, nowadays the reason for my attention on seals is replaced by my worries about their existence. With the fast prevailing of global warming, the south and north poles are undergoing severe tortures with ice melting and sea levels raising increasingly. Polar animals such as penguins, polar bears and seals are suffering from not only lack of shelter, but even threats to life. For the brutal pursuit of commercial profits, some businessmen who go mental even trap seals and peel off their fur. Such greedy exploitation at the sacrifice of a balanced ecosystem should be strictly prohibited with rigorous laws and harsh punishments, even imprisonment, just as the saying goes: Prevention is better than cure.

Do people today treat animals the same as they used to do, several decades ago?

In the past, when people were struggling with their daily necessities and looking for ways to satisfy their basic physical requirements, they would choose some types of animals as slaves on farms and keep far away from those dangerous ones. However, having waken up to the importance of animal rights and with the development of science and technology, people in contemporary society rarely exploit animals as farming labor nor do they treat some dangerous animals as devils. Besides, the type of pets people keep at home increased from dog and cats only to some special creatures such as snakes, mink, lizard and hamster. In general, nowadays human beings and animals enjoy relatively higher degree of peace and harmony compared with situations donkey's years ago.

3.Describe an interesting APP or program on your mobile phone or computer.

Well a useful APP that I want to talk about is One, an app of electronic magazine, which is edited by the famous writer and spiritual leader of Chinese teenagers Han Han. It is an app with a main theme of “be the unique and irreplaceable one in this complex world” , providing one inspiring sentence, one beautiful picture and one piece of though-provoking article everyday to illustrate some profound ideas to readers. I can still remember an article that talks about the general information about Netherlands on this app. After reading it, I was full of curiosity about this amazing country and because of this simple reason, I went to the journey to Netherlands last summer.

The reason why I think it is a useful map is because firstly I can learn a lot through reading it. I am the one who has great interest in everything in the world. However, it is just because of this curiosity that I cannot save enough time and energy to dig into every field, which leads to that I could just accumulate superficial information while being unable to touch the core knowledge. Through using this app, I learned lots of knowledge about different aspects. Although it only provides limited information everyday, but each sentence it offers can evoke my deep thoughts and reflection.

  P3

Why some people seldom or never use those apps?
