1) To tell the truth, I barely know the people who live next door to me. I remember their faces vaguely but I don’t know their names or what they do. I think my neighbours are on the same page as I am on this issue.
2) Well, I see them occasionally. For example, I run into them when waiting for the elevator. Other than that, I have little chance to see them, because we don’t really know each other.
3) I think the most common problem is probably noise. You know, it’s not comfortable to live next door to people who play loud music or have so many parties or are with kids screaming all the time.
4) I know of an idiom that says ”A good neighbour is better than a brother far off”, so I think there are many ways that neighbours can help each other. For instance, neighbours can keep an eye on each others’ properties for troubles such as break-ins. What’s more, they can help when there is emergency.
