I’d like to talk about Leehom Wang, is an American singer-songwriter, record producer, actor and film director. He is currently based in Taiwan. Formally trained at the Berklee College of Music, his musical style is known for fusing Chinese elements (such as Beijing opera, traditional styles of ethnic minorities, Chinese classical orchestra) with hip-hop and R&B. His concert at the Beijing Bird's Nest on April 14, 2012 was the first solo pop concert to be held at the venue.
He is an environmental activist, and his album Change me was dedicated to raising eco-awareness among Chinese youth. Leehom was one of the first torchbearers for the Beijing 2008 Summer Olympics, and performed in the Olympics' closing ceremony in Beijing. He was again a torchbearer for the 2012 Summer Olympics in London, making him the only person in the Mandarin pop circle to have taken part in the event twice.
Apparently, he's a Mr.Right to girls and a legendary idol to boys in China.
Apart from Leehom’s outstanding talent in producing music, he's also adored for his handsome appearance and masculine body.
Leehom loves doing charity work and is particularly keen on helping young people realise their dreams, so he has set up a music school teaching students from poor families musical instruments and composition.
I'll never forget the day, September the 20th last year, when he held a music concert in my city. The whole city was overwhelmed by his extraordinary performance. For me, it was the most exceptional sleepless night, as I've been his huge fan for the last ten years. In spite of others staring at me most bizarrely, I honestly damaged my own image by shouting at the top of my lungs and crying so much that my make-up ran.
Yet, the excitement didn't last long. He got married out of the blue on November 27, same year. I was screamingly desperate of course, not only me but also the entire vast number of his female fans. Strangely, he still got my ultimate support and blessing.
