I have been studying English for really a long time, andI have tried lots of methods: some failed, some worked. Learning a foreign language is never easy,and I find it's a lot harder if we fall into the traps of making some mistakes.
When I began to learn English at primary school, I had no interest in it. Even though, my parents bought me lots of videotapes of interesting English stories, I never liked them. Even worse, my pronunciation was so bad that I was afraid of opening my mouth to talk.
Fortunately, I met Mr. James, a very nice foreign teacher from United States in high school. He had been teaching English in China for over a decade and he was really experienced. He knew exactly how to help us conquer shyness and fear. He introduced us lots of interactive activities,like role-plays and arranged a bunch of outdoor activities with us.
Gradually we began to love his class and love to play the games he taught us. We would practice many times after class in order to have a good show in front of other teams. We were so happy at that time.
