I moved to my second new house when I was 9 years old. It was a two-story flat. What impressed me most is its wide living room with a grand and beautiful ceiling light on the first floor. Besides that, there were one big bedroom, a cozy dinning hall and a super modern kitchen there. The front yard and back yard were decorated with all kinds of plants and flowers. There was even an old well in the back yard. On the second floor, three bedrooms and one medium-sized living room were there. I liked the wooden stairs with exquisite texture. And it can make a pleasant sound when you knocked on. Ah, I remember that there’s a saying “knock on wood” in English to express someone wishes a good luck, right? Outside the big living room window, an eyeful of green fields distributed the subtle fragrance. I immediately fell in love with my new house.
I moved there because my parents had intended to build our new house for a long time. They spent several years’ saving to make a new house for whole family. And it was more convenient for me to go to school since it was closer to my school than the old home. I felt excited over a long time for the moving. Certainly, I enjoyed a happy time there throughout my whole middle school and senior high school time. It carried my wonderful memories as a teenager. I believe a warm and cozy family environment will be of great importance for anyone’s growth during juvenile time. I therefore always hold a great appreciation to my parents’ efforts for the moving.
