I will definitely choose comedy show coz first, we are under a substantial amount of academic pressure everyday, like, each one of us has to deal with endless presentations, group discussions, experiments or paper writings, so we really need to unwind and blow off steam; comedy show can provide the needed relaxation, so when we get back to study, we will be more efficient; second, I think comedy show provides an interesting topic for us to communicate with each other, and we can make new friends and enlarge our social circle.

Well, I think taking plastic surgery is acceptable. First, people have the rights to become better and improve their life quality in the way they desire. Just like people regularly work out in gym to keep a good figure or read a lot of books to enrich their minds, plastic surgery is another way for them to set up confidence and upgrade themselves. A beautiful face or attractive figure could certainly add to charms and offer people more desirable opportunities both in career and life. Second, with the rapid development of the medicine and technology, the risks and hazards associated with plastic surgery have been greatly minimized, so long as people go to a reliable hospital and take sufficient precautions, their choice of taking plastic surgery should be respected.
Task3 Alumni mentor program
在校生让毕业生当mentor。获得一些关于课程和职业的建议。
女生不同意。
第一，学生很忙，不如去校内的学生中心做咨询，学生中心提供全方位的就业指导，咨询和服务
第二，很多人都给建议，advisors professors parents，没必要再找mentor，建议太多，反而更confusing。
Task4 Skimming
定价策略的一种，先高价，再降价。
比如dvd players。刚上市很贵，因为可以提供很棒的音质和图像，很多人都希望在家享受到高质量的电影体验。之后就便宜了一半，因为想要那些喜欢dvd player但一直没买的人，觉得自己得到了good deal。这种定价策略让公司挣了很多钱。
Task5
生物老师举办一个end of semester celebration。男生答应去参加。但是昨天男生电脑坏了，里面有paper，昨天修好了，但损失了数据。男生昨晚好不容易写完，今天还想再花时间proofread论文。
第一个解决措施，通知教授不去celebration了，但怕offend professor
第二个解决措施，直接这么交论文, 但很明显，再检查一次更好

Prairie dogs挖很多burrows,holes，这对草原生态环境很有帮助。
1.为其他动物提供habitat，比如一种owl，喜欢在废弃的burrow里面筑巢，小owls会得到安全保护。
2.digging本身可以松动土壤，使其更好的吸收水分，方便植物生长。比如burrows附近的草，总是长得比较茂盛。
