B 版本:
Every student has their own study methods. Some prefer to study alone ‘cause they can cultivate their ability to solve problems and thus enhance their independence. But I think it is better for students to work in groups
(1) because they can develop their thinking skills and sense of cooperation by discussing problems together. Since everyone thinks in different ways, they have to learn how to communicate and work well with others.
In addition, students can help each other to analyze the problem and identify possible solutions quickly. After all, many hands make light work. (众人拾柴火焰高。)
And the last point I’d like to mention is that students in group have opportunity to share common goals and interests, which can create good atmosphere.
Therefore, I prefer to study in groups.
IBT 结构提纲 3 :
Intro: both
Body:
1. independence (A+)
2. creative & time-saving (B+)
3. cooperation (B+)
Transitional words: while, when,(时间连词作为信号词,可以借鉴) so..
结语: prefer both
中立版本:
Every student has their own preference for study methods. Some prefer to study individually, while others prefer to study with their peer group. I think both have their own merits.
advantages and disadvantages
merits and demerits
strengths and weaknesses
benefits and drawbacks/downsides
positive and negative sides
pros and cons
While studying alone, students are able to think and act on their own, which is very helpful for them to stay focused and develop their independent thinking ability.
When learning with a group, students become more creative trying to work out solutions to the problems. Thus, they save a lot of energy and time.
At the same time, peer-to-peer working encourages a sense of cooperation and mutuality ( 相互关系).
So, I prefer both even though the only difference might be what I am learning.

现场应用:A 版本---eat out
Some people prefer eating home because they can save a lot of money. However, I think going out and eating at a restaurant would be better for a couple of reasons.
To begin with, there is a large variety of delicious food in a restaurant. I could try different dishes from different regions. In addition, eating out is fast and convenient. I don’t have to worry about the dish washing.
Finally, I think I like the feeling of eating in a restaurant because eating with a lot of people would be much fun.
In conclusion, I prefer eating out at a restaurant to eating at home.
B 版本--- eat home
Some people prefer eating out at a restaurant because it’s fast and convenient. However, I think preparing food and eating home would be better for a couple of reasons.
To begin with, home-cooked meals are always cheaper and cleaner. I don’t have to pay a lot for the food in a restaurant or worry about the sanitary standard. In addition, eating home allows for a free choice of food ‘cause each person has a private taste.
Finally, eating at home is one of the best ways to enhance the relationship inside the family. A table is a good place where family members could talk about their happy day. In conclusion, I prefer eating home to eating out.
中立版本---- eat out & home p302
Taking one’s meals at home as well as dining out both have their appeal.
Certainly cost is a big factor in deciding where to eat. Restaurant meals are generally far more expensive than those prepared at home.
The price takes into account the overhead 普通用费 such as room cost, chefs, servers, place settings and food costs. At home you are able to control food costs with every trip to the market you make to buy groceries. You can choose the healthiest ingredients to stock your kitchen with.
On the other hand, dining locations are a matter of lifestyle. Home cooking is more relaxing but dining out is a fun and social experience. All details are looked after. Restaurants are great places to meet people and try new foods together, but nothing stops you from entertaining those same people at home with the new recipes you discovered when dining out.
