Some people believe that the high school should teach music and art as other basic science. Some people think that providing music and art education for high school students is not necessary. What is your opinion and why?

1) Students need all kinds of knowledge to really understand the world. Music and art are just as important as other subjects in terms of the development of human society.
2) Music and art are different from basic science such as physics and mathematics in the way you study, so it is good for students to change their thinking pattern once in a while.
(2) not necessary
1) Music and art are more about subjective appreciation. There is no necessary to bring them up in the classroom and teach students how to appreciate them. They can learn music and art on their own.
2) more pressure on students. Students already have limited time for taking lessons, doing assignments and tests. Adding music and art to their curricula is going to cause more pressure.
