Task 1
What kind of activities do you enjoy most at school? Explain why you enjoy doing this activity.
参考例文：My favorite school activity is running. I have been on the track team since I was a freshman. I run cross-country in the fall, winter track and spring track. Every day after school you can find me running with my teammates. I like to run, because it is a good way to relax after studying all day. Sitting in class all day is so confining. If I do not use up some energy with running, then I find it hard to concentrate on my homework at night. I also like my running teammates. We are all very loyal and dedicated to the team. Last year we even placed sixth at nationals. We are the most successful team in the school. I like running because it teaches me to try my best at everything.

Do you agree or disagree with the following statement: Artists (painters, musicians, etc.) are born and not taught.
参考例文：“What is art?” is a question that people often ask. If there is an artist that people believe is talented, there will always be somebody who says he or she is not. My sister is an art teacher, and she says that everybody can make art. Does that make them an artist? I like to draw, but I would not call myself an artist. However, I know some people who can draw as well as I, and they call themselves artists. Whether someone is talented or not is a matter of opinion. What I do know is that in order to be an artist, a person must have passion. Passion, not talent, is the most important thing for an artist.

【内容】当人们寻找问题的原因时，首先要找自己的原因，它可能会have negative effects, 让人失去自信，但是也可以自我鼓励，从而更加努力。
【1个例子】教授举了自己以前在汽车公司管理销售的例子，第一个星期落后很多，跟不上进度，然后找自己的原因，觉得是自己的效率不高，不够有条理，所以改进了方法，最后提高了效率。

【一个问题】一个男生因为打印机的问题：philosophy paper的最后几页wrinkled了，但是这个paper马上要交了。
【解决方案】(1)重新打印，但是要返回dorm, paper在自己的computer里，而且接下来马上要参加economic study, 结束后就上philosophy课了，时间来不及。(2)talk to the professor and explain the situation, 但是怕给教授留下bad impression
Task 6
【讲座主题】bird保护nest的两个method
【2个方法】(1)利用natural barrier,。举例magpie把nest搭建在bushes上，用树丛和有尖刺的枝保护自己的nest，这样predator就上不去了;(2)用隐藏的方法。举例hirundo用嘴mud自己的nest, 形成一个小的opening, 可以自己喂食。因为opening小，predator以为里面没东西，就不会有危险了。
