(1) The flagship species can represent threatened habitats.Flagship species are always attractive and thus people usually love them. And it is chosen to raise public awareness of those animals living in the threatened habitat.
(2) People's support given to the flagship species can usually result in the support given to all the plants and animals living in that area.
4、听力材料要点：
(1)Macaw, one great green bird,is in trouble since the number of trees in their habits have been cut down and also other animals are in trouble.
(2)People then made brochures and books containing pictures showing macaw's beautiful feathers.Then people distributed these brochures and books to people in communities.People started donating money to further protect macaw and some special areas are set where no one is allowed to cut trees.
