Question: Describe what subliminal perception is and explain how the experiment discussed by the professor illustrates this phenomenon.

2、答题要领：
(1)Briefly state the main idea of the reading passage.
(2)Concentrating on the lecture given by the professor. When orally summarizing the lecture, test takers are supposed to include the main points and some key examples as well.
3、阅读材料要点：
(1) Human beings perceive stimuli. Some are consciously done while others are unconsciously detected like an imaging showing in front of us too quickly for us to see what the image really is.
(2) This is called subliminal perception. Studies show that this will impact people's thoughts and attitude.
4、听力材料要点：
(1)the professor gives us an example of what is discussed in the reading passage. Two groups of people are used in an experiment and they were watching TV. Two slightly different images were flashed on the screen really fast.
(2)In one image, one boy threw a birthday cake angrily while in another one, the same boy was holding the birthday cake happily. Then a third picture was shown where the same boy was holding the birthday cake with no emotion literally. When being asked to describe the boy's personality, the first group describe him as negative while the second group thought of the same boy's personality as positive.
5、模板：
(1) In this set of materials, the reading passage is (the title of the reading passage) and the listening material is a lecture by a professor on the same topic. 当然，如果你觉得你的听力材料的理解率很高也不用谈及阅读材料中的内容。只是第一段说起来实在太easy了。
(2) In the reading passage, the university made an announcement that...本段可以省略，但是前提是你对于听力材料理解率很高，不会时间未到却无话可说了。
(3) In the lecture, the professor...不但要包括主要的观点而且最重要的是要包括教授举出的例子。
