托福口语题型讲解及答题技巧：Task 2 Preference

　　1. 第一句表明立场，做出选择。

　　2. 接下来用Although句型点出没有选择的选项的优点，随即说出这个优点的弊端。

　　3. 然后再说出两个选择的那个选项的优点，答案即可完成。

　　4. 我们可以用这样的高分答题句式来规划自己的答案：

　　Personally speaking， I would choose to__rather than___and___， I prefer the former / latter statement.

　　接下来Although__(另一选项的优点)，(but)___ (另一选项的弊端). Therefore I would think ___ is a better choice / I am more with the statement that ___ because___(选择选项的优点一). In addition， ___(选择选项的优点二)。

　　这样的答题方式和第五题有些相像，也就是说在我们需要作比较的失手，一定要提到另外一个选项，经过这样的规划，才能够使我们的答案更赋有逻辑性。下面我们来看两道例题：

　　例题讲解一：Task 2：Some people prefer to make decisions quickly. Others prefer to take their time. Which do you prefer and why? Use specific reasons and examples to support your response.

　　首先我们先列出一个表格，明确的列出两个选项的优缺点。在这个环节当中需要注意的最重要的一点就是：选项A的缺点可以成为选项B的优点，反之亦然!

Making decisions quickly

Pros

  • Avoid us missing any rare opportunities (避免我们错过难得的机会。在这里用到了反衬法，也就是说我将Taking time的弊端放在这里变成了Making decisions quickly的优势，这种方法在第二题和第五题当中都是非常有效的思维方式，可以帮助考生节约非常多的时间。)

  • Save time on hesitation（节省犹豫踟蹰的时间，如果一直Taking time to make decisions，宝贵的时间都会被浪费掉）

Cons

  • Easier to make mistakes（太过快速的做决定很可能会犯错误，会冲动决定，并且做出不理智的决定）

  • Be regretful in the future(承接上面一项，不理智的错误决定会让我们在未来的日子里面后悔我们曾经所做的决定，这里同时用到了反衬法，将Taking time的优势变成了这里的弊端)

Taking a time

  • Pros

  • 1. Have time to weigh the pros and cons of each choice（花时间做决定可以让我们有更多的时间掂量每个选择的优势和劣势）

2. Make rational decision and avoid making decisions on impulse (这样我们可以做出更理智的决定并且避免冲动决定，这里的反衬法将Making decisions quickly的弊端变成了这里的优势。)

Cons

  • Miss the rare chance (一直踟蹰不前，我们可能会错过难得的机会，这里的反衬法和Making decisions quickly的优势互相转换)

2. Be slothful to take challenges（如果我们一直优柔寡断，很可能会变得怠惰，从而不敢于接受挑战。）

　　下面我提供双面的答案，只要有了明确优缺点的表格，稍作语言上面的修饰和总结，答案就呼之欲出了。

　　答案一：选择Take time: Making decisions quickly or taking time to make decisions, I prefer the latter statement. Although making decisions quickly could avoid us missing any rare opportunities(另一选项的优点), it is always easier to make mistakes(另一选项的弊端). As for me, I am an absolutely struggle person since I am always afraid of making wrong decisions and feel regretful afterwards. Taking time making decisions, we will have time to weigh the advantages and disadvantages of each choice(选择选项的优点一), which could be able to help us make the most rational decision based on what is better for us and what we really need and want and at the same time avoid making decisions on impulse(选择选项的优点二).

Although taking time to make decisions, we will have time to weigh the advantages and disadvantages of each choice(另一选项的优点), we may become slothful to take challenges(另一选项的弊端). Besides, we will save our time on meaningless hesitation and being distracted or misled by our parents or friends who we are discussing with(选择选项的优点二).

　　例题讲解二：Some people prefer to learn about current events from watching television news programs. Others prefer to read about current events in newspaper or on the Internet. Which do you think is better: watching the news or reading the news? Explain why.

Pros
        1.dazzling and impressive audio-visual effects（电视节目可以提供绚丽的影音效果，比枯燥的文字有意思得多）
        2.  much more reliable（由于新闻局的审查，电视新闻资源会更加可靠）

Cons

  • 1. Short time limit and news sources are limited（但是由于新闻节目有限的时间，因此新闻来源也非常有限。）

2. old fashioned（由于需要时间录像、审查，新闻来源通常不够及时，这里用到了反衬法，将newspaper or internet news的优势转换为这里的弊端）

Read about current events in newspaper or on the Internet

Pros

  • 1. up to date（消息和新闻来源绝对及时，这里用用了反衬法，与television program的弊端相互转换）

  • 2. newspapers and Internet are much more portable（报纸和可以用来上网的手机比电视更加便携）

Cons

  • 1. readers are very hard to be attracted by monotonous words（读者很难被报纸或者网路上面的无聊的文字新闻吸引。这里的反衬法是与电视的影音效果相互对应。）

　　答案一：选择television news programs: Personally speaking, I would choose to learn about current events from watching television news programs rather than reading about current events in newspaper or on the Internet. Although we can read latest news that is really up to date (另一选项的优点)on newspapers and Internet, the readers are very hard to be attracted by monotonous words(另一选项的弊端). Television news programs have dazzling and impressive audio-visual effects (选择选项的优点一)that would be not only a process of recognition of news and events but also a kind of enjoyment and leisure. Moreover, the news from television programs are much more reliable (选择选项的优点二)than newspapers and especially than Internet as they are already censored by information bureau.

　　答案二：选择newspaper or Internet：In my opinion, I would choose to read about current events in newspaper or on the Internet rather than from watching television news programs. Although television news programs have dazzling and impressive audio-visual effects(另一选项的优点), the news sources are limited (另一选项的弊端)because of the limited time. We can get the latest news that is really up to date (选择选项的优点一)from Internet and newspaper and it is easy and convenient to read a large amount of information. In addition, newspapers are much more portable than television and cell phones which can be used to surf the Internet is easy to take also. (选择选项的优点二)
