I think planting trees is the best thing to do. First, trees and plants are the reason why we have oxygen to breathe in the first place. For example, when traveling to a rural area, we can notice how the air is much cleaner outside of the city. This is because there is more vegetation to provide us with clean, life-giving air. Second, not only humans need trees to survive, animals do too. Many animals use trees as their homes and as a source of food. When we cut down trees, these animals are left without shelter and food. And if we continue to do this, these animals may become extinct.
Task 2: Do you agree or disagree with the statement that young people today are more informed than their parents when they were young?

I agree with the statement for the following reasons. First, thanks to the internet, obtaining information has never been easier. Take myself for example, I don’t watch much TV. When I hear a news that interests me, all I need to do is opening up a browser, put in a few keywords, click on “search”. Then I can learn all about event in under five minutes. Second, social networks like Facebook and Twitter are filled with posts about current events. News travel at lighting speed. They get pushed directly on our phone which is always in our hands. My parents only had newspapers and radio shows which don’t even come close.

In the lecture, the professor introduces a principle that female animals will become brave after having babies. He uses one experiments to explain. Two mice searched food in a container with a cover and another open container . The mother mouse was brave enough to search food in both containers, but the non-mother mouse only searched food in the container with a cover.
