Task 1
What can parents do to help their children succeed in school? (看题目关键词可以被分为学习类,也可从“人物类”/“物品类”角度答题)
这道题从很早很早的时候(07年8月份左右)就出现过了,大多出现并且题干内容重合,都是再问说“如果同学/朋友/…岁的孩子,想学好一门…, TA应该做什么? … … ”。
思路解析:
Assertion:建议孩子多参加体育活动
Reason 1: 一方面锻炼身体,对于学习效率更高。然后展开: 如果缺乏运动,一天到晚学习.... 老枯燥了~ ~ ~ 运动一下应该可以让孩子更加有活力,学习的时候也更容易Focus。
Reason 2:另一方面: 孩子通过做一些集体活动,也可以锻炼到他的合作精神/领导力。 展开: 学业的成功,不应该仅仅用成绩来衡量(Being succeed in school is not necessarily about being good at academic study). 因为学术知识还是有限的,如果孩子可以在学校里面健康、快乐地长大,发掘出(Develop)一些自己的兴趣、爱好,那其实就是成功了 … 等等
Task 2
Do you agree or disagree that students should join some soical activities, such as joining clubs or sports groups?(是否同意学生应当参加一些社会活动? 如: 加入俱乐部或者运动组织? )
思路解析:
Assertion:我觉得可以参加体育锻炼。
Reason 1:如第1题。(当然了,Please~ 不要傻傻地用一模一样的答案来回答问题,变通一下,好不好? 你把阅卷考官当傻子,你会有报应的。。。)
Reason 2:在学业压力/工作压力这么大的情况下,做做运动其实是一种非常好的放松方式。周末打打球,放松地很好,weekday开始的时候学习效率会更高一些。
Task 3
Newspaper: car rent service on campus
Student can rent car on campus and drive it off campus, so that it will makeeasier for students to travel and make the students who can not afford a car access to it Conversation: the women is happy with the proposal
1) the campus is so far away the town, and the bus is 2 hour for a run. It will take hours to go to the town by bus, and if you have several places to visit in the town, it will take help a day.
2) She cannot afford to own a car as a student. Apart from the cost of the car, the maintenance and repair fee are also high. So car rent service is just the simple solution.
对话主人公赞同学校的决策并分别对学校给的两个理由表示支持。理由就围绕两条:学校离镇上远,开车方便省时,作为学生,买不起车,租车是比较经济的选择。
Task4
概念=buffering: in order to be less aggressive to the stronger animals, the weaker animals always use a baby as a buffer to approach to the stronger animals?
Example: monkey in Japan, in the group, the stronger monkeys always the at the first line for food, and when the weaker monkeys approach them, the stronger one always attack the weaker ones, and leave few food to the weaker monkeys. What the weaker monkeys do is borrow a baby monkey form a mother monkey. It picks it up and carry it in front the stronger monkeys. As a result, the stronger monkey does not feel offended and even share some food to the weaker monkey.
我们只需要抓住less aggressive.stronger,weaker这几个目的和主体词,理解这个现象是关于什么的.
Task 5
conversation:the women have some problem with her schedule: promise herelder sister to look afler her baby, when her sister is out for a concert with her husband tonight, but she forgets that she has a history essay to do tonight.
Two solutions:
1) cancel theschedule and make the couple go to the concert other day. But the ticket can not be get date changed or refunded.
2) Take some books with her and go her sister' s home to take care of the baby, and do her history paper during the interval and after the baby goes to sleep.
Task 6.
How the method of building change form the past to the current days?
Past: use thick stone build the base and the wall of high buildings. So that the thick stone can hold up the heavy weight on the top.
Drawbacks : make the inside room small and cramped
Example: thecastle
Now: use steel, a relatively thin steel can hold up more weight.
Example: oftlcebuilding, the use of steel make the room space big and copious.
