You should spend about 40 minutes on this task.
Write about the following topic:
Some people think that a sense of competition in children should be encouraged. Others believe that children who are taught to co-operate rather than compete become more useful adults.
Discuss both these views and give your own opinion.
Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your own knowledge or experience.
Write at least 250 words.
Education of children has always been the hottest topic concerned by the whole society. With the rapid development of the global economy, competition stuffed every field. So that whether the children should be cultivated with a sense of competition or taught to co-operate has become a debatable topic.
Some people hold the view that a sense of competition is essential for everyone no matter how old he or she is. That nowadays the abilities of people has been the most significant standard when people hunt for jobs should be what these people think reasonable. It is evident that a person who always fall behind with others in every different kinds of can not be a suitable candidate for any company or department.
By contrast, others agree with the opinion that co-operation rather than competition should be encouraged among children. They may think it is the unity rather than competition that influents the development of individual or organization mostly. Children will maybe have a tendency to become more mean and tart on condition that competition is taught to them when they are just kids, which means that the victory can be the only thing everyone interest in. And then the society will be cheerless.
As far as I am concerned, I agree with a compromise between cooperation and competition, which means that children need to enhance their own abilities while competing with the others, simultaneously, the teamwork that play a significant role can not be ignored in every aspects of their lives by them.(253词)
