There are conflicting views about the commitment of government, while some people think it is crucial for government to invest money on searching for life on other planets, others argue that it is a waste of financial and human resources to do it. Considering the issue, it is crucial to explore it from two sides.
On one hand, it is imperative for govenrment to perform its funtion to provide financial resource on searching the aliens on other planets. Because seeking those aliens on other planets contributes to the advancements of scientific researches and discoveries. From the clues and data about those aliens and life on other planets, scientists and governments can work hand in hand with each other to find a cure for some deadly disease with the help of the exotic plants or animals on other planets. The educational value can also not be ignored, knowlege and information from other planets can undoutedly broaden human’s horizen and expand their vision.
On the other hand, it is understandale that some people think it is a waste of financial resource to do such a project. For some impoverished countries, government should put priority to the construction of infrastructure and development of education and healthcare programs which are related to the wellbeing of citizens. Another concern for the disapproval is that the investment on astronunants and uncertain world tend to be a failure or a long-term process. Therefore, it is not realistic to invest money on those projects.
In conclusion, for those wealthy countries that have abundant financial capacities, it is worthwhile to invest money on those projects. But for those deprived countries struggling on the line of poverty, it is more sensible to attach importance to health and education programs.
