Task 1:
Task 1: The line chart shows the percentage of people in the UK in different age group who went to the cinema once a month or more between 1984 and 2003.
范文:
The graph demonstrates the trend of cinema attendance in 4 age groups from 1984 to 2003.
Cinema going was most welcomed in the 15-24 age group among the four. In 1984, 20% of young people aged 15- 24 attended cinema at least once a month and this percentage increased rapidly to 45% in 2003.
In comparison, the cinema attendances of 7-14 and 25-35 age groups were lower, at 17% and 10% respectively. But the gap between the two was narrower in 1988 and kept growing at the same rate, arriving at nearly 30% for each in 2003.
The oldest group, 35+, showed the least passion for going cinema, in spite of a rise from 2% to 21% in the attendance during the same period。
Overall, all the four age groups shared similar upward tendency in cinema attendance. However, it is obvious to see that people who were 15-24 years old demonstrated more interest in this leisure activity than the other groups, in contrast to the oldest interviewees, elder than 35.

范文:
In this globalized world, it is not rare to find people seeking their career in a foreign country. Among them, some parents take their children with them to live abroad, which has raised some discussion about its benefits and drawbacks. (形式主语,非谓语,定语从句)
The reasons why they do so mainly include the concern about their children’s overall development. The parental physical presence is crucial, and with absence of parental company, children tend to develop some psychological problems, despite modern telecommunication technology. For the children living abroad with their working parents, cross-cultural experience can give them advantages in terms of languages and diverse perspectives of life. Families getting together mean much not only for children, but also for parents, who can be relieved of worrying about their children on a daily basis. After all, for parents, much of the significance of working lies in the healthy growth of their children. (同位语从句,并列句,非谓语,定语从句)
However, the challenges of this choice have to be taken. First, some elderly children may find it hard to adapt to an unfamiliar environment; they may struggle with their identity in terms of race, nationality, or colour of skin. In case of conflict with local mainstream culture, they would easily feel depressed or isolated. Another challenge is that when they go back to their mother country, all the family members have to go through re-entry period which means re-adaptation to their native culture. Such mobile lifestyle makes it tough to maintain a long-term social relationship. However, it can be all this hardship that stimulates one’s potential and helps him/her to achieve a high level of flexibility. (被动语态,形式宾语,表语从句,时间状语从句,定语从句,强调句)
In general, I personally favor the integrated family with parents and children living together no matter where they reside. This view is on the ground that family is the key factor for children’s healthy development, and in a warm home, children would have courage and confidence to overcome the hard time and fulfill their potential.
