The reading passage and listening are both talking about the policy of building solar roads by paving glass. However the reading opposes this measure while the lecturer lists three reasons to agree with that.
Fist,contrary to the statements that the place is not logical, the professor think the solar panel will produce more energy because it will reflect the sun in cloudy days not just in one direction but in many different directions.
It terms of safety problem in wet or icy condition the profession mentions a new kind of glass to solve the problem. The engineers have already researched for it,which can also be useful in wet days. Thus the problem are not something that we should concern about.
At last.the solar roads will produce more power which can be sold to other counties Thus the revenue can be the cost of building, That is to say the solar roads won t be very expensive.
