Women are required to do most of the household tasks from the views of many people. However, with the rising social and financial status of them, the role of male and female could be changed in some families. From my perspective, it is very necessary for men to share the household work with their spouses. What is more, it is no more embarrassing for men to be in charge of the housework.
Doing household tasks especially those demand strength and professional skills like moving furnitures or fixing bulbs is aways beyond the female capacities. By contrast, what they are really good at is to cleaning the house, classifying the cupboard or caring the baby, which asks more consideration and patience. Moreover, with the rising status of female during the past centuries and the conception of equality, it is without any doubt that men should take up the duty to relieve burdens of their mates.
Under such background, there comes a great number of advantages both for parents and kids, among which, the sound relationship is created during the co-work between husbands and wives. It is reported that many couples suffer the communication problems or the so called “cold violence” due to the great pressure nowadays. Doing housework together cannot only relax each other from the fast pace work but enhance the communication during the process as well. Additionally, caring babies together turns to be a wise choice for the children to develop in a balancing way, because the influences from motherhood and fatherhood are different. For instance, mother impresses their babies by her tenderness while father by his toughness. In this way, any child can grow up in a sound environment, a truly important factor for future development. Moreover, it is not strange at all that some men would like to do more housework more than their busy working and higher income wives. A case centers on Ann Lee, a internationally known movie director, who had spent almost 7 years doing housework, cooking and caring babies before he became prestigious.
All in all, it is necessary for men to take part in the housework in modern families. And, if possible, men also have the right to be in main charge of the family work, since they find it much suitable for them.
