这会让米开朗基罗 lost all his customers and destroy his career.
The passage mainly discusses that Michelangelo forged the Statue of Laocoon. However, the lecturer casts doubts on the writer's view from three different aspects.
First of all, it is said in the reading passage that Michelangelo faked a couple of pieces and The Laocoon was just one of them. Nonetheless, the professor in the listening material argues that at the early of stage of his career, Michelangelo forged sculptures in order to gain fame. There was no need for him to do so once he became a well-known sculptor. This is the first place where the speaker disagrees with the reading passage.
Second, the writer points out that Michelangelo had a painting which was considered as the draft for the Laocoon. In contrast, the speaker refutes that there are two differences between the painting and the statue. This is the second place that directly contradicts what the reading passage indicates.
Finally, the reading passage states that Michelangelo forged the Laocoon motivated by financial interests. On the contrary ’ the speaker contends that it was too risky and completely unnecessary for Michelangelo to do that because it may lead to the lose of all his prestigious: customers. This js the last point that entirely opposes the writer's point of view. ( 209)

Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? It is more important for schools to fund their students' social activities than to improve students’ meals.
With the rapid development of our educational system, the issue whether it is more important for schools to fund their students' social activities than to improve students' meals has attracted an increasing amount of public attention. A large number of people hold the belief that students' social activities should be the first priority, while others completely disapprove of this point of view. As far as I am concerned, I agree with the latter argument for the following reasons.
Admittedly, it is of crucial importance for schools to provide financial support for their students' social activities as these kinds of activities are advantageous to the students especially for those schools that already have good educational infrastructure. It is generally accepted that social activities such as various student clubs provide students with precious opportunities to get acquainted with a good many friends. No one would deny that friendship plays an essential role both in students' study and their daily lives. Students nowadays are generally under mounting pressure from a variety of sources, namely parents, teachers, and also their peers, and so on. In this case, if they have a large network of friends, they can confide in them whenever they feel depressed. There is no doubt that sharing their own stories with their friends is a pretty good emotional outlet which can help students relax and relieve stress.
Nevertheless, it is also pivotal for schools to improve students' meals especially for those schools that do not have enough educational resources. It is commonsense that meals impose tremendous impact on students' health. All the students need a healthy body to study both efficiently and effectively. Good meals generally contain plenty of vitamins and other nutrients that can improve students' memory and make them concentrate on their study. Moreover, eating good food can also help students maintain a good mood that is beneficial for students to reduce stress. On the contrary, meals that do not have enough nutrition will contribute to malnutrition among students. Under this circumstance, students would have had bad health and it may also impose huge negative impact on their academic performance.
In conclusion, although I concede that it is of crucial importance for schools to fund their students' activities since they can learn many things from actual society but from book, I do not think to fund activities is better than to invest in students' meals since food really plays a vital role on students’liveihood and study.(407)
