Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? "Nowadays, it is much easier toachieve success with help from one's family than in the past" Use specific reasons andexamples or details to support your answer.

  范文:

Help from one's family is a great advantage to one's achieving success, in the faster and easierway. Now more than in the past, it is really fortunate to be with the family's help just as it isvery unfortunate to be without. In this competitive society, there is no such thing as a self-made person because--like it or not-- you will reach your goals only with the help of others, particularly your family members, in terms of financial stability and career potential.

To start with, freedom from the pressure of money, or rather the lack of it, can contribute toone's confidence in the financial credibility. For instance, those young people from well-to-dofamilies may become aware that rarely do they have to achieve successthe hard way. Incontrast, most of their peers from families that are short of money must depend largely ontheir own to succeed economically. As a rule, the richer the family you are from; the better areyour chances to triumph. Truly, stories have repeatedly been told about persons starting fromscratches to prosperity; nevertheless, these examples are exceptions that prove the rule. And this is exactly why such fate-changing "role models", who (without counting on help fromthe family) are able to work their way to high places where they stand, deserve to be widelyand deeply admired.

Also, there is no secret that being successful in life is often associated with one'srecommendable educational background. This implies your reliance on your family to pay foryour college education in the hope of having a rewarding career. It is the same today as it wasin the past that higher education is usually expensive to get in and through, even though theeffort is worthwhile. Education being concerned with the money factor, parents who canafford it are anxious to send their children to get career preparation either because they wentto university or they did not. This goes to illustrate the importance of a financially supportivefamily. On the other hand, young people with low-income parents might as well move up theeconomic ladder, but the question would be at what price?

Nowadays, in order to achieve economic and career success, the need to benefit fromhelpprovided by family members is more obvious than before. Without such help, the road tosuccess seems often under construction. For those young people who can make use of thefinancial advantage, there appears to be always a short cut to success.
