Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? People are never satisfied with what they have; they always want something more or something different. Use specific reasons to support your answer.

Kids always ask their mother, “Mum, can I have one more?” when she give some candy to them, and parents always laugh at their children’s greediness. However, scientists are continuing their researches even though they already have breakthroughs, and people admire their devotion and persistence. In both examples, human beings show theirdisposition: they want to get more than they have. I completely agree this statement for many empirical evidences from individuals to companies.

Individuals try hard in their positions to achieve their setting goals. Students not just want to pass exams but to get a high mark. Even though such marks are higher than they expected, they are not satisfied with this result, since they want more. Workers wish to improve their financial situation and to be promoted to high position. After they reach their goals, meeting their material needs such as a big house lucrative car, they admire millionaires or billionaires and want to be one of them. Athletes train hard to improve themselves or set a new world record. World is crazy about the new record in the Anthem Olympics.

Companies never want to stop their feet on one spot. The stable revenue in one company that was lower than expected by the Wall Street will lead to the decrease in the price of its share. In the competitive business world, ambitions and aggressiveness are always driving their company’s operation. The managers and workers try hard to fulfill such goals as the increase in the sales, the reduction in the cost and the enlargement of the business. After the company attains its target, those people continue set up a new goal for the next year. They never stop challenging themselves, for business never stop.

Therefore, people never satisfy what they already got, and they want to surpass what they have. Students want to get a high mark in their exam; worker wish that one day, they can live in a big house; employers and employees are increasing their goals in their business. In other words, evidences can be found every corner in a real life to support the statement.
