It is sometimes said that borrowing money from a friend can harm or damage the friendship. Do you agree? Why or why not? Use reasons and specific examples to explain your answer.

It is sometimes said that borrowing money from a friend can harm or damage the friendship, but I do not think so. Most people cherish a friendship and are afraid of damaging it. However, it does not follow that we cannot borrow money from a friend, because money and friendship have no direct relationship to each other.

Firstly, friendship is delicate, but it is not broken simply because of money. Most people value friendship and believe that a true friend is hard to find. If people want to taste the fruits of friendship, they need to water it with care, honesty, and faithfulness. Thus people tend to pursue pure friendship without any flaws. In this sense, people usually try to avoid talking about money in their friendships, because money is too realistic. They are afraid that money will affect their friendship. In fact, it is not money, but deception, lies, and betrayal that are the major enemies of friendship. We often think highly of the friendship between Engels and Marx. It is hard to imagine that Marx could finish his research and writing without the financial support from Engels. Their friendship is a convincing example, showing that money does not necessarily harm friendship.

Secondly, friends are those with whom we share both happiness and pain. In our daily lives, there is not always smooth sailing. As the saying goes, a friend in need is a friend indeed. When we have trouble, including the lack of money, we often turn to our friends for help, not only because they are close to us, and they are trust-worthy, but also because they are ready to help us. Therefore, borrowing money from a friend is not shameful. On the other hand, we should not blame our friends if they do not lend us money, for they may have their reasons. However, if we are really in need, and they are able to help us, they will not hesitate to give us a hand.

In a word, money and friendship do not go together are not opposed to each other?. They are on different tracks, though sometimes there may be an intersection. Even if we borrow money from friends, it will not damage or harm our friendship.

1、Thus people tend to pursue pure friendship without any flaws. 首先Tend to表示一种Want to 的趋势。然后pursue pure friendship without any flaws是追求无杂质的友情。

2、Their friendship is a convincing example, showing that money does not necessarily harm friendship.

3、However, it does not follow that we can not borrow money from a friend, because money and friendship have no direct relationship to each other.
