Many students choose to attend schools or universities outside their home countries. Why do some students study abroad? Use specific reasons and details to explain your answer.
The title statement has been the focus in recent years. Sometimes it strikes the top line of most newspapers. Today many students choose to attend schools or universities outside their home countries. Although there are a lot of disagreements on the issue of studying abroad, more and more students choose this way. Some wealthy families even send their children abroad to go to kindergartens or primary school. I will explain why this is the case in the following paragraphs.
From my point of view, the teaching system outside our home countries may be different and flexible. Students who study abroad can grow up freely. They will aquire knowledge using different methods from those used in domestic schools. For example, most Chinese students who are learning abroad say that they gain enough encouragement from their teachers to fully develop their abilities. Their classes are more active and they are asked to do more research and experiments by themselves, so that their personal abilities can develop . They are no longer depending on their teachers. What’s more, there are lots of advanced skills and knowledge that can be accessed in other countries. In order to further study in their professions students must go outside of the classroom. Some pointed end facilities ? for research are not available in domestic countries ? [China?]. Those who want to learn on the frontier of science must go abroad.
In addition, the circumstances outside the country may be better. Students may live in much safer situations. For instance, China is a country with a large population. Usually traffic jams cannot be avoided, especially in the big cities. The supermarkets, shopping malls, buses and other public places are always full of people. Some countries have fewer people than China and the social systems of developed countries are more perfect than those of the developing countries. Chinese students who study abroad really enjoy these conveniences because everything is in good order. The air is clearer and beautiful natural scenery can often be seen. The students can study happily.
Furthermore, there is another important reason for those parents who send their children to study abroad. Living and studying alone can force their children to gain much practice. Without their parents’ help, they have to face and try to solve various kinds of problems by themselves. Soon they become independent and mature.
Last but not least, studying abroad can be enriching. Not only can we learn a new language, understand more about a different culture, but we can learn more about ourselves too. After understanding the reasoning above, we know why more and more students choose to attend schools or universities outside their home countries.
