One reason for me to choose a notebook computer is its mobility. The mobility of a notebook computer makes it possible to access the Internet at will. If I need information, common or professional, I can visit Web pages and search for the relevant content. If I want to contact my family or friends, I will write e-mails to them. E-mail service is as reliable as the postal service but much more convenient. With a notebook computer, I am not far away from my family and friends any longer.
Another reason is the multi-purpose functions. Today’s computer is not only a machine that computes, but also a music player, a theater and a photo shop, etc.. Almost no other machines rivals computers in integrating audio and video appliances. It is hard to find a computer that does not support digital cameras, video recorders, or MP3 players. With a computer, I can process images, music, even a movie. So a notebook computer not only does one thing, but several.
It may sound strange to some people to want to take a notebook computer on a trip. However, as long as those features such as mobility, convenience and multi-purpose functions are considered, many will agree that a notebook computer is an ideal choice.
