It is better for children to grow up in the countryside than in a big city. Do you agree or disagree? Use specific reasons and examples to develop your essay.
There are advantages and disadvantages to a childhood in either the country or a city. It's hard to say which is better. Growing up in the country means a certain amount of isolation. You're in a small town or community with few people. Even more importantly, the people you meet everyday tend to be just like you. Most will be the same race as you, have the same background as you, and will have gone to the same school as you. In the city, the people you meet are different. There are different races and different cultures. You get a more interesting mix in bigger urban locations.

City people tend to come from a variety of different places; they also move frequently between different locations. So, there isn't the sense of community in the city that you have in the country. People in the city can live in the same apartment building for twenty years and never get to know their neighbors. In the country, everybody knows everybody. For a child, this means the country is more secure. A child can get lost or hurt in the city and have no one to turn to. In the country, everyone’s a neighbor. People in the country feel connected to each other.

一、语言表达
本文的语言使用非常优美，句式富于多变，长短句搭配合理，运用了大量从句和非谓语动词结构，使考官眼前一亮。而在用词上，文中词汇运用十分地道，表达生动，凸显了作者的很厉害的语言功底。这些都使得文章更加吸引考官的眼球。
1. Growing up in the country means a certain amount of isolation.
此句中，非谓语动词短语growing up in the country做句子的主语。在英文的写作中，非谓语动词可以用来做除谓语以外的任何成分，为是文章语言丰富。高级词汇isolation是动词isolate的名词形式，意思是“隔离，封闭”同样的用法还有“alienation”。
2. City people tend to come from a variety of different places; they also move frequently between different locations.
此句中，动词短语“tend to”意思为“倾向于”，同样的表达还有“have the tendency that”。这种用法可以描述一种趋势，比如用在开头，nowadays, there is a growing tendency that...
短语a variety of的意思是“各种各样的”，可以成为土鳖用法many different的高级替代。
3. All in all, I think a childhood in the city is better because it prepares people more for what real life is like.
