In your opinion, what is the most important characteristic (for example, honesty, intelligence, a sense of humor) that a person can have to successful in life? Although honesty, intelligence, and a sense of humor are all worthwhile characteristics, I feel the most important one in life to have is sensitivity. A sensitive person is aware of him/herself and the way their actions affect others. Moreover, a sensitive person is aware and attentive of his/her environment. A sensitive person knows the place of honesty, intelligence, and a sense of humor.

Intelligence is a wonderful thing to have, but not all intelligent people use their intelligence well. You must always be sensitive to the reactions of the people around you. It might be appropriate for you to admit that you have the right answer, but in some cases, you might have to double check it. 一. 语言表达
1. Although honesty, intelligence, and a sense of humor are all worthwhile characteristics, I feel the most important one in life to have is sensitivity. 此句中although的基本意思是“尽管,虽然”或“然而,但是”,用于引导陈述语气的让步状语从句,且引导的句子常指事实,而不指设想。这里跟大家补充说明一下在although引导的复合句中，若主句和从句的主语相同，且从句的谓语动词含动词be，则从句的主语和动词be可以省略。此句I feel the most important one in life to have…中为了避免重复，作者用one 代替了 characteristic，用词非常地道。
2. You don’t want to insult someone by saying that their new dress is ugly or that someone’s homecooked meal is disgusting. 此句中insult sb by doing sth 是固定短语。Insult用作动词时的意思是“侮辱,辱骂”,指通过带有恶意的话语对某人进行攻击而使对方感到难堪,其对象多为人,有时也可是物。insult多用作及物动词,后接名词或代词作简单宾语。可用于被动结构。Or后面的that 从句和saying 后的that 从句是并列关系。
3. It might be appropriate for you to admit that you have the right answer, but in some cases, you might have to double-check it. 此句中 it is appropriate (for sb) to do sth 是固定短语，相似的用法还有 it is appropriate(that)从句。
4. A sensitive person understands that people are different and that the values of honesty, intelligence and humor can be applied differently. 此句作为文章的结尾段以及结尾句，高度总结并概括了全文的观点，和文章的起始段前后呼应，令人印象深刻。
二. 逻辑结构
本文写的非常有特色，因为是针对人最重要的特质进行分析，所以就先把文章中提到的人的特质都进行了利弊分析，进而得出了sensitive才是人们最重要的。这样的思路非常巧妙，而且文章结构公正，逻辑清晰。文章很少使用长难句，都是使用的比较简单的句子，但是句式多变。而且，文章也没有使用过多的大词，难词，比起一些比较卖弄辞藻、故弄玄虚的文章来说，多了一分平实，也更加易懂。但是句式多变又让文章极具可读性。
