Some people trust their first impressions about a person’s character because they believe these judgments are generally correct. Other people do not judge a person’s character quickly because they believe first impressions are often wrong. Compare these two attitudes. Which attitude do you agree with? Support your choice with specific examples.
Any opinion is, in fact, a judgment. Regardless, we must be able to decide whom to spend our time with and whom we’d rather avoid. In my opinion, this type of judgment is best applied after meeting and interacting with a person. First impressions are not always accurate impressions.

There are more people in the world than anyone could possibly get to know. It is frustrating to waste time meeting someone, only to confirm your suspicions and find out that your first impression was correct the whole time. Moreover, you didn’t like this person to begin with. So is it a waste of time getting to know people you probably won’t like? Maybe, but I believe that it is not the best attitude to take.

It’s better to spend time getting to know people before judging them. I know that We all have bad days and sometimes we don’t leave the right first impression. I wouldn’t want to lose a job or a potential friendship simply based on this. I think everyone deserves the chance to make a second, and hopefully better, impression. There is always more to people than meets the eye. If we don’t give someone a chance, we may be missing out on meeting a life-long friend.

1. Regardless, we must be able to decide whom to spend our time with and whom we’d rather avoid. 这句话有两个宾语从句并列使用,第一个是whom to spend our time with,第二个是whom we’d rather avoid,这里的whom都在从句中作宾语。 Regardless of anything, we must be able to decide whom to spend our time with and whom we’d rather avoid.
2. It is frustrating to waste time meeting someone, only to confirm your suspicions and find out that your first impression was correct the whole time. To waste time meeting someone, only to confirm your suspicions and find out that your first impression was correct the whole time is frustrating.
3. It’s better to spend time getting to know people before judging them. To spend time getting to know people before judging them is better.
4. I wouldn’t want to lose a job or a potential friendship simply based on this. I think everyone deserves the chance to make a second, and hopefully better, impression.
Maybe, but I believe that it is not the best attitude to take. It’s better to spend time getting to know people before judging them.
