When it comes to the creativity of children nowadays, quite a few people would claim that technology makes children become lazier than ever before. According to my rule of thumb, however, children’s creativity has benefited considerably from modern technology.

The internet provides a huge amount of information that is related to the development of children - either physically or mentally. That allows children access to a wealth of knowledge they are interested in. For example, those children who like to invent new games can gain much knowledge from the internet, thus inspiring their creativity. In addition, modern technology creates a sense of connection, contributing to the exchange of ideas among people all over the world - including children. Parents, who have already had decades of trial and failure in the field, would have a clear idea of what kind of knowledge and quality is required for the job. This helps children hone their social skills creatively. Confronted with complex communication, children have to explore various new ways to deal with relationships. Plenty of online games, for example, are specialized for the development of children’s creativity, thus help children improve their imagination and creativity while playing. Numerous books and magazines are published specialized in mental growth of children. Researchers are now exploring more better ways for parents who want to improve their children’s creativity.
By and large, although technology simplifies humans’ life, it greatly enhances the creativity of children by offering knowledge, methods and communication medium.
