Some people hold the opinion that the main purpose of teachers’ existence is to offer information. However, students in current society can have access to amounts of information, so teachers are not as significant as before. I totally disagree with this statement.
The Internet provides students with abundant information and makes the process of obtaining information more efficient, convenient and interesting and in this sense, teachers seems dispensable. For example, if a student wants to know the history of French, he can easily find sufficient information, which ranges from vivid pictures to profound paper. Nevertheless, only with teachers, can students gain a better understanding of the knowledge. That is to say, teachers can select the most suitable information, no matter where the information comes from and employ different strategies suited to the particular group of pupils.
Apart from the most obvious function of teachers discussed above, teachers play a key role in moral education and social skills learning. The competition in modern society is so fierce that only equipping with academic knowledge is not adequate. Under the guidance of teachers, students can understand how to behave properly and become productive members of society. The same is true for social skills. If a student is rich in knowledge but weak in social skills, there is little possibility for him/she to become well-adjusted adults.
To sum up, although the advent of modern technology brings about ample information for students, students require more direction in terms of standard of upright conduct and social skills, so the role of teacher is less likely to be replaced.

The question is a matter of cause and effect, and this trend may be considered as positive if identity is cause, but it may be regarded as a negative development if vanity is cause. In either case, brand is not cause but effect.
On the positive side, identity is cause and brand is effect because the former influences the latter. In an identity-conscious society, buying a certain brand says something about the person who buys it. The logic: the strength of identity leads to the strength of brand, and a strong brand is no less than a promise. For example, thinking of some top "trusted" brands, such as Nike, Volvo, Apple, or Coca Cola, people immediately know what these famous trade-marks would promise. In one sense, a trade-mark is a trust-mark for those people who want to identify with quality names. So, it may be said that such identity is emotionally associated with that kind of trust which a top brand has to delivery.
On the negative side, vanity is cause and brand is effect. Typically, this happens when people mistake vanity for identity. So much so, some people may refuse to pay attention to the fact that some products or services are unreasonably over-priced. This phenomenon is partly the result of an increasingly materialistic society gone wrong because people do not necessarily get the real value from the face price. Of course, this kind of vanity certainly does not make economic sense because people would spend money that they might not have and buy expensive things they might not need. Under these circumstances, the desire for famous brands is only a reflection of the influence of advertising rather than the actual buying power.
Probably, partly due to identity and partly due to vanity, there is a strong tendency for people to buy famous brands. As often as not, this development may be positive or negative, and the issue is not a black-or-white one. It is likely that the reasons to buy famous brands are found in the grey area.
3.Children are committing more crimes. What are the causes? How to punish them?
Alarmingly, various misdeeds among teenagers, for example, school bullying or sex assault， are now becoming a big headache in many countries. Juvenile delinquency not only afflicts the victims but also jeopardizes the community. Many efforts have already been made on how to crack down juvenile crime, but, the effect is far from satisfying. This essay aims to explore the causes of teenage crime and then represent relevant measures of penalty.
The potential reasons of teenage criminalities are complicated and manifold. First, it can be mainly owed to the disadvantaged family environment. Some teenage violators come from the violent or single-parent families. It is conceivable that teenagers growing up in such environment， in most cases， are more likely to be willful and cynical，consequently, they are more easily to be led astray. Still, the adverse effect of commercialized mass media is another factor to be considered. Nowadays, the Internet and videos are besieged with overflow of information on pornography, violence and crime. So curious are some youngsters that they might blindly duplicate everything they have seen including contents related to violence and sex. Virtually，these mental poisons have been seriously corrupting adolescents' innocent minds and arousing their violent impulse. Last, the rebellion of teenagers has resulted in their misconducts and made them conduct some anti-social offences, especially when a young man comes from baneful family background and is affected by mass media negatively.
Considering the severity of youth crime, it is about time that we started adopting some effective measures of punishment. First, it is important for the government to enact relevant legislations to strengthen the censorship of the commercialized mass media. Meanwhile, it is governments' obligation to strictly penalize those websites or TV stations that disseminate vulgar, bloody and cruel information so that teenagers can stay away from those toxic contents. Also，as for some habitual young perpetrators, it works to impose stricter punishment, for example, it is feasible to prolong the imprisonment of hardened evildoers, which could exerts a deterrent effect on some potential law-breakers. Last, as the curators of children, parents have to assume the responsibility of educating and guiding their kids, so, parents should also be short-termed imprisoned if their children go and out the prison for several times.
