1月6日雅思写作机经预测:
1. The international community must act immediately to ensure that all countries reduce their consumption of fossil fuels, such as gas and oil. To what extent do you agree or disagree?
It is a notion that all nations and regions are supposed to reduce their amount of traditional energy consumption under the order of global communities right away. As far as I am concerned, I don’t approve this idea. Although it is a good wish to ease the environmental problems via this schema, the immediate decrease of fossil fuel usage is simply unrealistic.
Admittedly, using fewer fuels results in an improved environment on the planet earth. Look at status quo, most nations heavily rely on energy produced via burning gas and oil. The sulfur dioxide and carbon dioxide generated from the energy production process are mainly responsible for climate issues, such as global warming. If all countries and individuals had ceased using these conventional energy sources, the amount of harmful gas could have declined.
Nonetheless, I am against this proposal as the immediate reduce in fossil fuel use is clearly utopian. As a matter of fact, the majority of members in the UN have remarkable difficulties of adopting other types of energy in a short term. The application of new energy is so financially demanding that they are not able to afford solar and hydro power stations on their homeland. Moreover, countries in the modern world still cannot fully contain the risks and dangers of some certain clear energy production. Evidently, the nuclear explosion and leak occurred in Fukushima in 2011 caused a consistent environmental disaster world widely.
In a nutshell, an action to reduce fossil fuel consumption worldwide should not be performed in these most recent days.
2. Some people think that governments should do more to make their citizens eat a healthy diet. Others believe that individuals must take responsibility for their own diet and health. Discuss both these views and give your own opinion.
A healthy diet is an extremely important part of life. Now the question is: who should take more responsibilities for our healthy diet? As diet is both a public affair and a personal choice, I would suggest that the government and individuals have an equal share of responsibilities for a healthy diet.
Many people might argue that what to eat is a matter of personal preference, so it is people themselves who should try to make sure what they eat is healthy. In the supermarket, for instance, people should purchase for food and fruits and avoid buying expired food no matter how cheap it might be. When they dine out in restaurants, they should choose those that provide clean and healthy food rather than those that sell cheap food. Furthermore, if one is overweight, he could choose to avoid eating high calories food like bananas, chocolates, and sea food. Anyway, this line of thought would think that individuals are fully responsible for eating food that is healthy to their health.
Yet, rather than a simply personal issue, food is always also a social issue in terms of its production, distribution and consumption. In this sense, the government has a significant role to play in making sure that food on its citizens’ table is healthy. On the one hand, the government should make strict laws and regulations to ensure the quality of food produced and sold in market. On the other hand, the government should also avail of every opportunity to educate its citizens about the types of food they should eat to stay healthy.
To sum up, in order for our food to be healthy, both individuals and government have their share of, though different, responsibilities. A healthy diet would only be possible with the efforts made by both individuals and the government.
3. In developing countries, some people think governments should introduce new technology for people in order to improve the quality of life, while others believe governments should offer free education. Discuss both views and give your opinion.
The government, as a decision-maker, is the representative of citizen’s basic interests. In this sense, every governmental policy will inevitably exert a profound influence on its citizens’ quality of life and further prosperity of the nation. People have been debating for years the function of a good government, as I see it, both introducing innovative high-tech products and popularizing free education fall into the category of the governmental function.
The reason why developing high-tech products could conduce to the amelioration of a nation’s population lies in three main aspects. Primarily, prospering aviation can, to large extent optimize people’s quality of life. For example, the development of the international trade makes citizens have access to various seasoned fruits and vegetables, likewise, the prosperity of international tourism enables people to improve the quality of their lives by touring many hot scenic spots with their families, pursuing academic dreams overseas and thus enjoy more leisure activities or embrace more personal success. Also, the betterment of people’s life depends on the popularity of the Internet and the mobile phone, specifically, cell phone greatly strengthens the family tie and diversifies people’s entertainment. Similarly, with availability of the Internet, more and more citizens can embark on self-employment by drawing on e-commerce or receiving education at home.
Education is one of the key words of our time. A man without an education, many of us believe, is an unfortunate victim of adverse circumstances, deprived of one of the golden chances, thereby, supporting free education has an indispensable role to play in perfecting people’s quality of life. For a start, those poverty-stricken children from the rural areas could become the beneficiaries of free education, it is highly possible that a man receiving fine education can shake off poverty and then revolutionize his or her destiny. Further, a nation could benefit from the promotion of universal education, surely, talents inject new vitality into the mightiness of a country, the increased happiness index of the citizens will ensue when a nation become stronger and richer.
Overall,I reaffirm my stand that a nation can rejuvenate through science and education,to optimize people's quality of life, efforts should be made the government in terms of high-tech innovation and universal education.
