Task1 - Which kind of books do you like the least? Biography, romantic story or science fiction?

Personally, I like biography the least. Because first, it can be quite boring. I mean, sure, biography tells about a person’s life, and many good fictions do that too. But the point is there’s basically no drama at all in biography, the narrative form feels so plain...it just rarely excites me. Besides, biography reading always comes with my assignments. For example last semester my history teacher required all students to read about an important person in history and write a 5 page paper about it. I was truly struggling. Actually comparing to many others, I’m a book lover. But biography is an exception, it’s a buzz kill for me.
Task2 - Do you prefer face-to-face communication or to communicate with people through email and messages?

学校要取消junk food的贩卖，这有利于学生的健康饮食和合理消费。对话中男生反对该倡议，他认为对junk food不必那么苛刻;并且，假如学生想买这种食品而不得则会转向校外，这样会花更多的钱。
Task4
话题是rational ignorance。讲的是人们在有大笔支出时会综合考虑多方面信息，而对于小的支出就懒得考虑很多。教授举了两个例子，一是他买车时考虑了很多车型最后才选中一款;二是他给手电筒买电池时不假思索随意买了一款，因为不愿浪费时间。

女生要组织一个school concert，但天气预报说有雨。第一种方案是把音乐会挪到室内，但就不那么有意思了。另一种方案是推迟音乐会至下周三，但不知道会有多少观众，因为大家可能要visit friends或有其他安排。
Task6
主题是有幼崽的动物猎食能力更强。教授举例讲到一种rat，因为有幼崽，这种rat更容易发现有食物的路线，也会更快地回到窝里保护幼崽以防其被捕食。
