Two reasons are claimed: the first one is that freshmen should involve in non-academic activities, and the second reason is that freshmen should spend more time on improving their research skills.
Listening: The boy holds a positive attitude towards it.
1)Firstly, he chose five courses in the first year and therefor he had no time for joining clubs or taking any social activities.
2)Furthermore, he used to know nothing about how to organize papers and collect resources from library, it took him a long time to learn because he didn't have much time in his first year. If the university proposal did work, then the freshmen could have enough time adapting their college life.
4、Reading: The term is the Observation Method, it is a means to gather information through observation. In a market company, the manager used to adopt the face- to-face interview to obtain the information about the customers' feelings of their
products and service, in this way, people are affected and not willing to tell the truth,
so the information is inaccurate and misleading. Nowadays, there is a popularity to
use the observation method, that is, observing the interactions of customers in a secret way which people won't notice, then the information will be accurate.
Listening: (The professor) Well, today we will talk about the means. I will give an example to illustrate this term. For instance, there are three sections in an art museum, people want to find out which is popular. When the face-to-face interview is used, people will say all sections are good and no negative answer because they might be afraid of hurting the feeling of interviewer. Then the observation method is put into use, the security guards keep tracts on the visitors, they took notes about how many people in each section and how much time they spend there. In this way, the accurate information is obtained.
5、The boy has a problem about whether to go to the audition or the concert.
Two suggestions, 1) The girl suggests that boy could listen to the first part concert and then catch audition. But in this way the boy will miss other parts of concert.
2) The second method is to go to the concert today, and go to another audition tomorrow. But today's audition is the main parts of the show, tomorrow's audition is only a minor part of show, there will be fewer lines, and it is not fun.

1)First adaptation is the ability to attach to the bottom. For example, the black fly lava has a hook shaped hand to attach to the rocks in the bottom of the water where there are food .
