Great Western Highway Parramatta NSW 2150 Australia
Respect, Responsibilty and Honesty are the core values that form the foundation for learning at Parramatta High School.
I consider it a privilege and honour to be Principal of Parramatta High School, a school with a very proud history. Established in 1913 it was the first co-educational high school in Sydney. School life has always been enriched by a culturally diverse student population.
With selective classes commencing in 2010, 60 Year 7 students, we will continue to have high expectations for academic success; a high proportion of HSC students accept positions in university courses and our students are regularly placed on the merit list
As a partially selective high school our results will reflect the dedication and skill of our teachers, the determination of our students to do well and the tremendous support provided to each student by their families.
I challenge each student to contribute to our history and the fine reputation of our school. This is done through academic achievement, participation in debating, public speaking, musical or dramatic performance, sport, student leadership programs and fundraising for charities. It can be as simple as politeness and good manners, helping out a friend or treating others with dignity and respect.
We value our past but we are also keen to meet the challenges of the future. Our technology facilities are first rate. We are at the cutting edge in student personal development and leadership programs. I see the school as a place where young people learn the values to become productive citizens and leaders of the future.
Students have the opportunity to particpate in a variety of activities to extend and enrich their learning.
